In this tragic situation and in any situation it is important to question whether proper force was used or not. From our perspective it looked like Excessive Force.

Policeman's Oath
Does anyone know if the policemen are sworn to a policemen's oath. Is it the same throughout the U.S.A. or is it different in different cities, states, counties? Where can I find a copy of it? Thanks for your help.
I went to Ask Geeves "Do Police Officers Take An Oath?" This is what I found in reply: Police Officers take an oath to uphold the laws, and bi-laws of the Constitution of the United States which is to include State statutes, and local ordinances without bias. It is not unlike the oath that the President of the United States might take. Actually, they take the oath when they graduate from the police academy not when they are hired, per se.
